my life is magical.

today was the best day ever. here's the reasons why:
-went to general conference
-took a great old time-y photo
-walked around temple square
-got chipotle
-got a free cupcake from my friend's mom's store (cupcake chic...so good! go!)
-watched the rest of conference
-took an AMAZING and much needed nap
-made rice krispies
-watched blues clues
-currently watching hello dolly

...and the day's not over yet. seriously? too good. and I got to wear my new dress today! it's okay, you can be jealous. haha here are some pics to help you really stoke your envy. haha

little miracles.

well, first of all, my quote of the day thing really took off there didn't it? haha oops.

anyway, life recently has been hard. very hard. everything has been bad, I have a PSYCHO roommate, and I just feel like a worthless piece of crap. now, I'm not saying all of this so you'll feel bad for me. no no no. please don't. my problems are nothing compared to some. my point is, that today I was blessed with many little miracles, and I'm so glad I was aware of them.

first, I got an email from my mom, which was a forward from my friend Jacob's mom. Jacob is on a mission in Tonga and he is the best guy I know. I love him more than words and I miss him a lot. however, I've been absolutely terrible and have barely written to him! but anyway, in the email to my mom, his mom said that in his recent email he asked about me. and wanted to know how I was doing. I literally cried. haha seriously though, just knowing that this kid was thinking about me all the way across the world made my week. It was great to know that I'm loved by him.

My other miracle I received, and greatly needed, today was a sweet text from my friend Kelsie. she knew I was really upset last night, and when I woke up this morning I saw that I had this encouraging text from her. I love my friends!!

I just wanted to share these experiences because they've taught me to really start paying attention to little things everyday. I try to think of 5 things I'm grateful for everyday, but I wanna notice these little miracles too.

these are the things that keep me going! well, that and sleep. and ice cream. and cheese. and otter pops. and god. :)

Alright, so I've decided to join the blogging world. I honestly have no idea what in the world I'm going to blog about, but whatever. Laura Nelson's blog is just too cute and great so I decided I have to get in on this thing. I can't promise anything fantastic, but I'll try to keep this as entertaining as possible!
